1 The Hair Section

1)The Width of the Hair Section

It should be either the same as the width of the tape or a bit smaller. Make sure you don’t have over-direction hair into that tape.

2)The Depth of the Hair Section

It needs to be determined based on the density of the hair. This is a skill that comes with experience. If you’re uncertain, it’s wiser to take a larger section initially. You can always pull any extra hair later. Taking a section that’s too small is a risk you should avoid, as it may affect the overall look and stability of the extensions and the comfort of the client.

2 Application Process

1)Placing The bottom tape

Lift the hair up gently and place the tape underneath it. Then, carefully and smoothly place the hair onto the tape. This step requires control and precision, as it can be a bit challenging. Make sure the tape under the hair remains straight. Sometimes, it can start to dip, so practice this action to get better at it.

2) Placing the Top Tape

After that, take another tape and place it on top. When doing this, it’s crucial to ensure that everything lines up perfectly. If the tapes are misaligned or not placed correctly, oils and dirt can easily get trapped. Straight hairs may also stick to the tape, which can cause discomfort for the client.

3) Final Tip

So, always double-check that the tapes are properly lined up. This simple check can make a big difference in the quality and comfort of the hair extensions.
